We are enjoying the beginning of summer in the Giraffe class! We are starting summer by learning what makes summer special: hot sunny days, playing outside, swimming, and cold treats. Check out some of activities!

We have a frog pond in our sensory table!
The lily pads are made out of different shapes.
We also have little pipe cleaners we used as tadpoles.

We love tracing shapes with stickers

Counting scoops of ice-cream!

We made a list of what we know about the sun!
We know that the sun is...
- Golden/yellow
- Hot
- Up high
- In the sky
- Far away (we can't reach it)
- Helps plants grow

We made our own suns! We tore up yellow and
orange tissue paper to make our suns bright!

We traced lowercase letters on the whiteboard.

We decorated popsicle treats with a variety of shapes!
We reviewed circles, squares, diamonds, and triangles.

So much excitement about reading!
Ms. Tremmel tries to trick the class by
switching some of the words - but they always
figure it out!

The students made their own frisbees and
tried to see how far they could throw them.

The students spelled their names using scoops of ice-cream.
