The Giraffe class went on a Cave Quest last week! We had a blast at Vacation Bible School, where we learned about how much Jesus loves us! There were five main bible points that we learned: Jesus gives us hope! Jesus gives us courage! Jesus gives us love! Jesus gives us direction! And Jesus gives us power!

Check out some of our activities!

Every morning the students came up to the sanctuary to
sing and dance, and get ready for the day!
We also ended our VBS time there. Ms. Cari
often invited our class to come up and
show everyone the dance moves!

We made fun crafts to remind us of our adventures
at VBS!

We always had fun when it was our turn to
go outside for games! All of the games reinforced
 the bible points.

We were HOPING to find Easter eggs with treats inside!

Jesus gives us COURAGE in stormy situations (balloon storm)

We can't keep God's LOVE to ourselves! We have to
share it - just like we share the water in this sponge game.

We have the POWER to make bubbles using our breath - because Jesus gives
that to us.

We always enjoyed seeing our Bible Buddies come to life
during our movie time! They helped remind us that Jesus gives
us hope, courage, love, direction and power! We also got to see
short videos of how other kids have experienced these bible points.
For instance, when we learned how God gives us hope, we heard from
a young girl (about 3) about how she cut her hair really short so that she
could donate it to other kids who are really sick.

Of course, we never turn down an opportunity for
snacks and juice!

It was a great week! Can't wait to do it again next year!

The Giraffes hit it out of the park last week as they learned about sports! The class explored football, hockey, baseball, soccer, and basketball! It was a fun week as the students tried to master a skill from the different games.

Check out some of our fun!

The class did a great job of making lists of
things that they know about each sport.
This our list about Hockey!

We played letter hockey! The students had to find a
letter that the teacher called out and push it in the goal!

We explored the properties of ice and
had some fun seeing what happens when we
mixed in some paint! The students were interested
in seeing how the colors slid together because of
the water.

We had fun playing noodle baseball!
The kids tried to hit the ball with the noodle
and then they ran around the bases as their friends
cheered, "1, 2, 3...you're safe!"

We sorted baseballs from smallest to largest!

The kids enjoyed their water play day!

The class painted their own soccer balls
after playing in the water.

We had fun trying to dribble basketballs and shooting them
in a hoop that was just our size.
