The Giraffe class has been growing with excitement as we finished learning about flowers this week! The students have enjoyed watching our flower seeds sprout with small stems and leaves! They know that under the dirt there are roots eating food from the dirt and drinking water. They cannot wait for the petals to come out!

Check out some of our other activities this week!

Students were given flowers with letters and they
were asked to put the letters in the order of their name!
The students are getting very good at this activity.

Students made 3D flowers and talked about the different parts.

 Students painted the letter X.
We love free-painting!

Students counted out petals to put on flowers!

Students practiced putting numbers 1 - 10 in number order.
When they were done, the numbers had made a large flower!

The students have a special celebration coming up on Wednesday (5-18) and
they made colorful butterflies to decorate the stage!
They painted one wing, squished the other wing on top and
compared the wings! They were excited to see that the wings
were usually almost exactly the same!

We like exploring rocks with our classroom magnifying glasses!

On Tuesday we had a special guest from the Magic House!
Her name was Emily and she read us a story about Clifford
and then the students helped her sort Clifford's toys from smallest
to biggest. The students did an excellent job of listening and
participating!

See you next time!
