It has been a sweet week in the Giraffe class! We finished our unit on nutrition and talked about Grandparent's day (3-14-16). This week was a milestone for our classroom  - we learned the letter Z! That means we will be reviewing the letters of the alphabet for the rest of the school year.

Check out some of our activities this past week!

Count chocolate chips on the cookies!

Students made Zebras out of the letter Z!

Students categorized food by protein, dairy, fruit and
vegetables to make balanced plates!

Students prepared for Grandparents day by
making Grandma puppets!

We had fun getting messy with our spaghetti sensory
activity! We painted with cooked and uncooked spaghetti.
It was a fun way to practice thinking like a scientist
"what happens if..."

Even Ms. Tremmel got messy!

Students love tracing letters with play dough!

This week Ms. Sandy (Ms. Tremmel's mom) came for
a visit! She will be volunteering in the classroom sometimes.
The kids loved reading with her!

We had fun tracing letters with uncooked pasta!

We made our grandparents a special present to
remind them that we will "Owl-ways" love them!

Working on fine motor skills as
we made pasta jewelry!

This we learned about how Jesus' last supper with his friends. Even though they were sad he was leaving Jesus promised he would come back!

See you next week!
