It's been a blizzard of fun in the Giraffe class as we learn about winter weather and animals! We learned about the letter R and number 11 as well!

Fun at Home
Shaving cream can be a fun "snowy" sensory activity! Students can build with it or draw in it depending on their mood.

Check out some of our activities last week!

We counted buttons on snowman cards and
matched them to the right number!

We are getting better at making houses with our waffle blocks!
It can be tricky to line up the "teeth"

 Working on tracing letters...

We love snack time!
You can tell they are already worn out from recess!

Oh no! The road is covered in snow!
We better shovel it up!
The challenge is keeping the cotton balanced
on the spoon/fork.

 Painting the letter R!

Salt is a fun sensory activity!

We used shapes to make snowmen!

Paper plate faces!
The students can use any of the materials
on the tray to create their face.

 Teamwork! What a great tower!

 Reading time is so relaxing!

The students are starting to show interest
in tanagram puzzles. These are great practice
for shapes and logic.

The students are working on spelling their
names. Some students are independent and others
use a visual aid for support. This is a higher level skill,
so do not be discouraged if your child still needs support.

 Tracing number 11 with stickers!

 Playing dress-up!

We were reminded this week that Jesus loves to hear us talk and sing to him. We can tell him anything!

See you next week!
