Happy Friday! We are finishing up our first week of school for the Giraffe Class! It has been a very busy week too. Our theme was "All About Me!" Students were encouraged to talk about themselves, their family, and how God made us each special. We also learned about the Letter A this week. We found pictures of things that start with A and make the "a" sound. We practiced identifying numbers 0 - 2 and counting objects to work on associating quantity with the symbols.

The kids have done a great job of adjusting to their new routine and we are so excited to come back again next week and learn about how "God helps us become Friends through Faith." We will be focusing on helping each other, sharing, and giving each other encouragement.

Please enjoy looking through our pictures from this week!

Circle Time! We are learning songs about the months of the year and the days of the week. They are tricky, so it might take a few weeks before they are able to sing them with the teachers.

Recess! Check out our Pirate friends!

We had fun stepping on all of the letter A's to get through a maze!
Look how nicely they waited to have a turn!

Some free play time helps us stayed focused throughout the day!

We love to read! We read at least 5 books a day, usually more:
one at circle time and others after snack and naptime.

Using "Mat Man" sticks, foam stickers, and play-dough to talk about how
God made us with eyes to see, ears to hear, and a mouth to eat.

What starts with A?

Ms. Cari, Pastor Mike, and Mr. Mark came and talked to us about God's love.
Jesus time is really fun!

More pictures next week!
